After the delightful Werser Cycle Path comes the Zechenbahn route, for me one of the most beautiful cycle paths in the area. The Datteln-Hamm Canal, anyway a great bike tour destination, shows its best side with the attached spa gardens.
You can enjoy natural terrain in the Heessen forest. Dismounting

From Drensteinfurt to Davert and then back via Davensberg and Ascheberg: that's around 30 km, which, especially in autumn, lets the diversity of the "Münsterland parkland" shine. The way goes over mostly asphalted paths and also over "Pättkes". In the Davert nature reserve, it is worthwhile to leave

Nature and industry, right after each other. Hardly to be suspected that right next to a coal-fired power plant is a nature reserve with rare waterfowl. Thus, the northern side of the channel is more suitable for nature observation, while the southern side is more suitable for those who just want to "kick".

At the end of a 4-day tour through the Lüneburg Heath, we made this short tour, which led over both unpaved, but well-drivable sections, but mainly had paved surfaces. In retrospect, I have to say that the proportion on or on the streets was a little too high for me.
