    Un bellissimo ponte di marmo con la storia. Bisogna attraversarli per continuare a seguire la pista ciclabile ed escursionistica.

    Un piccolo accenno sul "Ponte di Marmo" di Villmar 😎
    Il termine "marmo di Lahn" in realtà non è corretto. Perché la roccia non è marmo, ma calcare!!!
    Il marmo si forma quando il calcare è sottoposto a pressioni e temperature estremamente elevate durante la costruzione di montagne. Questo non era il caso della barriera corallina di Villmar.
    Il termine "marmo Lahn" è fondamentalmente solo un termine commerciale.

    Ponte Lahn

    Conosciuto anche come il ponte di marmo, il ponte Lahn a tre archi a Villmar attraversa il Lahn dal 1894. Fu costruito e rivestito con numerosi blocchi di marmo provenienti dalle vicine cave. La statua del ponte Saint Johannes Nepomuk è stata eretta nel 1996 dalla varietà di marmo di Lahn "Wirbelau".
