    La diga fu costruita come un terrapieno, ovvero riempita con terra e roccia. Questo materiale di riempimento veniva estratto localmente ed è prevalentemente sassoso. Il rivestimento della diga è costituito da torba e corre lungo il pendio che costeggia l'acqua. Si tratta di uno stagno di "vecchia concezione", ma in una data sconosciuta fu convertito al nuovo design con un pozzo di rastrello al centro della diga.
