    L'attuale Howsham Mill si trova sul sito di un precedente mulino costruito nel 1755 che macinò farina per la tenuta Howsham per quasi 200 anni.

    Il mulino cadde in rovina a metà del 1900 prima di essere raccolto dal Renewable Heritage Trust e riportato a tutto il suo splendore nel 2006. Oggi il mulino è uno spazio per eventi, un centro di educazione ambientale e produce energia sotto forma di energia idroelettrica.
