    Seul un petit chemin mène au-dessus du Nonnenstromberg. Mais il est alors assez facile à trouver : le sentier de grande randonnée Rheinsteig le longe. Nous suivons simplement le panneau Rheinstieg.

    Le Nonnenstromberg, haut de 335 mètres, est l'une des sept montagnes éponymes du Siebengebirge. Selon une légende traditionnelle, le nom viendrait de deux femmes pieuses qui s'y seraient réfugiées pendant les croisades. En fait, il remonte au Moyen Âge, lorsque le Petersberg voisin s'appelait encore Stromberg.
