    Althausen est un quartier de Münnerstadt dans le district de Basse-Franconie de Bad Kissingen, en Bavière.

    Le village-église est situé à trois kilomètres à l'est de Münnerstadt an der Lauer.

    À la périphérie se croisent les routes nationales 2281 et 2282. La rue 2281 mène au sud jusqu'à Poppenlauer. La St 2282 mène à l'ouest jusqu'à Münnerstadt et à l'est jusqu'à Brno.

    La route fédérale 71 passe également à l'ouest d'Althausen dans une direction nord-sud.

    Le quartier a été mentionné pour la première fois en 803 sous le nom d'Atihuson. Cependant, des découvertes archéologiques de la période Hallstatt témoignent d'une colonie bien plus ancienne. Au Moyen Âge, il devait y avoir un château (Château d'Althausen) dans le village. Althausen a été dévastée par les Suédois pendant la guerre de Trente Ans.

    L'église Saint-Cyriaque a été construite vers 1750. Une école suivit en 1839.

    Le 1er janvier 1972, Althausen a été incorporée à Münnerstadt dans le cadre de la réforme régionale en Bavière.
