La sculpture en bronze « L'étalon Wohlklang dans le dressage de la liberté » commémore deux anniversaires.
Le groupe a été offert par la Stadtsparkasse Celle à l'occasion de son 150e anniversaire en 1984.
Il a été installé et dévoilé lors de la célébration du 250e anniversaire du Haras d'Etat Celle le 29 août 1985 sur la place d'armes du Haras d'Etat puis, après les parades d'étalons, présenté au public le 12 octobre 1985 dans le parc du château.
