    Dans un endroit d'une beauté unique, sur une colline offrant une vue imprenable sur Latemar, Rosengarten et Sciliar, l'église Sainte-Hélène a été construite vers le XIIe siècle.

    L'intérieur abrite l'un des chefs-d'œuvre de l'école de peinture de Bolzano du XVe siècle. De nombreuses magnifiques peintures murales sont encore très bien conservées, notamment à l'intérieur de l'abside et des voûtes.

    La façade de l'église présente une représentation de Saint-Christophe et sur le mur sud se trouvent des images intéressantes de Marie avec l'enfant Jésus et les trois vierges Katharina, Barbara et Margaretha.

    Presque tous ceux qui passent devant l'église Sainte-Hélène près de Deutschnofen ne seront pas surpris par les peintures historiques de l'art de la petite église, que personne ne soupçonnerait ici, dans cet endroit isolé.
    Les fresques à l'intérieur de l'église Sainte-Hélène comptent parmi les exemples les plus précieux de l'architecture gothique élevée du début du XVe siècle. Les fresques sont particulièrement bien conservées dans la voûte de la nef.
