    C'est là que se trouve le mémorial du pont aérien - également appelé affectueusement le râteau de la faim par les Berlinois en raison de sa forme. Il symbolise les trois couloirs d'entrée et de sortie sur lesquels les bombardiers de raisins ont volé jusqu'à Tempelhof pour approvisionner les Berlinois piégés en nourriture et en matières premières.

    La Platz der Luftbrücke est un carrefour berlinois situé à la frontière entre les quartiers de Tempelhof et de Kreuzberg. L'entrée de l'ancien aéroport de Tempelhof est située sur la place. Les bâtiments autour de la place abritent principalement des installations de l'administration publique, en particulier la préfecture de police. Non loin de là se trouve le Viktoriapark comme lieu de détente. Le nom de la place rappelle le pont aérien de Berlin de 1948/1949.
