With the constantly changing terrain, it's a nice day trip that's completely sufficient 😉 However, the 4:44 hours given here are nowhere near enough. With 2 breaks and short stops to take photos, you should plan on 6:30 hours. You should bring enough food with you, as real civilization with a restaurant

A very beautiful route, mostly on the Way of St. James. From Freyburg with vineyards and along the Unstrut to the Saale crossing. This is open seasonally from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. I left out Naumburg here, which would be about 4 km more. However, that would mean missing the beautiful route directly along

Unfortunately, the Economical Pilgrimage Route was not yet recorded in Komoot. This route does not always follow it exactly, as the markings were not there in some places, but it is very close. There are many beautiful sections away from the roads and main paths. Therefore, no extensive food or overnight
