A algunos kilómetros del centro del pueblo de Hovet, en dirección a Aurland, hay una ruta de senderismo hacia Hivjufossen. La cascada es una atracción turística y solo se puede llegar después de 40 a 60 minutos de escalada. Hivjufossen consta de una cascada superior e inferior creada por el agua del río Storekvelvi que fluye desde el Parque Nacional Hardangervidda hasta el Parque Nacional Hallingskarvet.
