La presencia de la iglesia de Turquant está documentada desde mediados del siglo XII, cuando comenzó su construcción. La mayor parte del edificio data de los siglos XV y XVI.
A finales del siglo XVII, se llevó a cabo una reconstrucción para restaurar el campanario derrumbado. A principios de la década del 2000, se realizaron obras por valor de 900.000 € para restaurar y nivelar los cimientos, la estructura y parte de la cubierta.
