    Es una estatua ecuestre del escultor Anatole Celestino Calmels y fue inaugurada el 19 de octubre de 1866 . Tiene 10 metros de altura y pesa cinco toneladas de bronce. Se trata de una imagen de Pedro IV de Portugal montado a caballo al trote, vestido de uniforme, que era su indumentaria habitual. En su mano derecha sostiene la Carta Constitucional de 1826 y en la izquierda las riendas del caballo.
