    Después del último incendio de la ciudad en 1856, la Iglesia de San Jorge fue reconstruida en un período de unos cuatro años y consagrada nuevamente en el otoño de 1859. El órgano fue construido en el mismo año en el taller del maestro Gotthilf Bärmig de Werdau.

    El retablo fue pintado por el profesor Wichmann de Dresde.
    Como último detalle, en otoño de 2019 se dedicaron las nuevas campanas, que fueron diseñadas por el artista Peter Luban y fabricadas en la fundición de campanas de Grassmayr.
