One thing that always fascinates me about spring is how quickly the trees suddenly turn green. Sure, it's still that delicate Main green. Everything is still very fragile. Yet, suddenly, whoosh, the forest is green.

As I was about to set off today, I squeezed myself into my cycling shorts. I had snagged three pairs of these shorts on sale in the winter of 2022/23. I then put them in the back corner of my closet and only recently, with great joy, found them again. It was better than Christmas and my birthday combined

What weather it's like out there. I actually wanted to ride a bit longer, but the constant drizzle and wind kept me away.

Our accommodation, the Monastere Val die Consolation monastery, is perfectly located for hikes and bike trips. The area of the Doubs Horloger Nature Park is full of springs, waterfalls and steep green slopes.
