The Erbs Church of St. Vitus is definitely always a reason to run around the Kirchberg. You can get to the church from different directions, either via a small footpath from the direction of "Höbelweg", via the access road "Auf dem Kirchberg" or an agricultural path from the direction of "Mühlenweg". The Erbser Friedhof is right next to the church and next door is a turning area with a small playground.

Always a nice photo object, the Srapelberg. Almost every run I run has a photo taken from the same perspective so you can capture and enjoy the change throughout the year.

The Stapelberg is a small, wooded hill between Adelebsen, Lödingsen and Wibbecke. Geologically, this is a so-called "witness mountain". About 200 million years ago the Stapelberg and the neighboring Kükenberg were on a common plateau, which was built up from the shell limestone of the Triassic period. While the hills were made of harder rock material, there was probably softer rock in between, which was cleared away by wind and water over millions of years. the Stapelberg remained standing as a "witness" of this once contiguous plateau. So much for the geology. However, according to legend, the Stapelberg was created because the giant woman who lived in her castle on the Bramburg threw her sweeping dirt there every morning. The heap grew day by day until it became a real mountain. Unfortunately, the castle of the giants was destroyed by a strong earthquake. On the old village street in the small town of Erbsen there is an old milk bank with a couple of milk cans, which is supposed to be a reminder of the old days. Up until the early 1970s, dairy farmers brought the freshly milked milk here so that it could then be taken to the dairy in Lödingsen for further processing. St Vitus Church 1446 a church in peas is mentioned for the first time. Today's parish church of St. Vitus was built in the Middle Ages, rebuilt in the 17th century and later expanded. It is a quarry stone building with a neo-Romanesque round apse in the east and a narrow belfry like a ridge turret in the west.
