Thanks to its location between mountain and lake, its village center with its many arcades, its churches and chapels, and a park that is like a small paradise, Morcote deserves the title “Pearl of Ceresio”. It lies on the southern nose of the Arbostora peninsula. Monte Generoso is the mountain that dominates the entire Mendrisiotto area and Lake Lugano, it can be reached with beautiful treks that start from Switzerland and Valle Intelvi, or it can also be reached with a panoramic train that leaves from Riva San Vitale, in at the top you can enjoy on the clearest days a wonderful view of the main lakes in the area and also of the skyscrapers of Milan and the Po Valley, as well as of the entire Alpine range.
