Pego das Portas is a charming place located in the Naturtejo Geopark, in the municipality of Nisa, in Portugal, with a privileged view of the Portas de Ródão natural monument and an excellent place for birdwatching (griffins).

Wonderful route with beautiful vegetation, at the moment blooming gorse, many rounded rocks, partly piled up. There are menhirs, dolmens and ancient dwellings along the route. We were quite surprised by the mysterious atmosphere and the silence over this area.

With almost 7m height, probably the highest menhir of the Iberian peninsula. Make a nice stop!
