Of all the Ardennes municipalities, Libin is the one with the most places devoted to dwarfs. These legendary little creatures, here called "Nutons", lived in hollows of rocks and came out at night to repair shoes from the villagers. Le Sentier des Nutons offers a 1.8 km fun trail around a lake in a wooded area, completely dedicated to these Ardennes dwarfs. Along the way, be surprised by a dwarf sleeping next to a fox, another gazing at the water from its stone pedestal, or a third sitting in front of his den with a collection of large shoes. Tranquility prevails in this green area, and pay attention to children: you might even see a gnome hiding in the bushes. This small park is located in a former quarry of kaolin, a white fat and heavy loam used for pottery and porcelain. There used to be several kaolin quarries around Libin, and today one is still active in Transinne.
