The Pole Village in Pairi Daiza, also known as “The African Pole Village”, is an authentic representation of an African village on stilts. It is located in the part of the zoo called “The Land of Origins” and offers visitors a glimpse into daily life in West Africa. The village is a lively and colorful place, complete with music, gastronomy, hairdressing, billboards, naive paintings, and even a local grocery store. Visitors can visit an African hairdresser, see a fisherman's nets drying, discover typical “bicycle chickens” at the poultry dealer, and discover mysterious objects of the voodoo cult in the shaman's hut.

The Island of the Rising Sun, also known as 'The Islands of the Rising Sun', is a beautiful addition to the park dedicated to the beauty of Japan. Opened in May 2024, this new world invites visitors to explore Japan's four main islands: Hokkaido, Honshu, Kyushu and Shikoku. Each island is represented with its own distinct climate, vegetation and wildlife, providing an immersive and educational experience. It is not just a Japanese garden, but a true representation of the Japanese landscape, complete with Japanese gardens, culture, atmosphere and animals. This ambitious project, which involved an investment of 1.9 million euros, was launched on the occasion of the park's 30th anniversary.

The Kingdom of Ganesha in Pairi Daiza is an enchanting world that reflects the wealth of Indonesia and Southeast Asia. It is named after Ganesha, the god of art, education, knowledge and science. This area pays tribute to sacred architecture, with temples dedicated to various deities such as Ganesha, Shiva, Brahma, Vishnu and Buddha. It is also home to various animals, including Sumatran orangutans and Asian elephants. A highlight is the Great Temple of Bali, Pura Agung Santi Bawhana, a real place of worship built with dark lava blocks. The Kingdom of Ganesha offers visitors an authentic experience of Indonesia, complete with the sounds of a Gamelan orchestra and the sight of majestic rice fields.

Pairi Daiza is a beautiful zoo located in Brugelette. Originally opened in 1994 under the name Paradisio, the park is home to a whopping 7,000 animals, including many endangered species. Pairi Daiza, which means “closed garden” in Persian, offers a unique journey through the five continents of our world, with authentic gardens stretching over 70 hectares. The park actively participates in breeding programs for the rescue of endangered species. Furthermore, visitors can spend an unforgettable night in close contact with extraordinary animals at the Pairi Daiza Resort. The park has been voted the best zoo in Europe several times.
