Concord is a historic town and one of the oldest in the country. Established in 1635 by a group of English settlers, the town was significant in the Revolutionary War and still has many historic homes and museums. Concord also has many restaurants, bars, and art galleries.

The Lafayette Trail isn't a regular trail in the sense that it's meant to be traveled from one end to the other. Instead, its purpose is to trace the final farewell tour of the famous French General as he visited numerous locations across the US through 1824 and 1825. The Old North Bridge is located in in Concord, Massachusetts, and is a historic site central to the American Revolution. It was here, on April 19, 1775, that colonial militia faced British soldiers in one of the first battles of the war and is now a part of the Minute Man National Historical Park. Visitors can walk across the bridge, explore nearby trails, and view the iconic Minuteman Statue. There are also interpretive plaques and regular guided tours.

Foss Farm is a 57-acre conservation and recreation area in Carlisle, Massachusetts. Historically a farm known for asparagus and other crops, it now features community garden plots and fields used for agriculture. Archaeological evidence indicates the area was inhabited by Native Americans over 3,600 years ago. The site is rich in biodiversity, with fields, upland woods, wetlands, and habitats for wildlife such as bluebirds, owls, and rare turtles like Blanding's turtles. Foss Farm offers trails for hiking and horseback riding, connecting to nearby conservation lands and the Great Meadows National Wildlife Refuge, but there are not any trails suitable for road bikes. Other amenities include unpaved parking, equestrian areas, and space for dog training and sled dog activities in the winter.
