After the climb, on the way down we made a detour to eat at Lezetako Borda (we had a reservation), it's really worth the detour (although it's hard to go back up to resume the descent haha), the food is all homemade and very tasty, especially the delicious fried truxhitas and also the lamb and the mixed salad, the beers were ice cold!

Pottok are local horses, a breed in their own right. They are released into the wild by breeders for the sole purpose of grazing in pastures. They do not produce meat and are not ridden. They have been part of the Basque landscape for generations. They remain semi-wild, be careful, they can be docile or wild, especially when there are young.

Mount Artzamendi is reached by a short but particularly demanding climb. From Laxia, the climb is 5.6 kilometers at an average of 11% with passages at 19%. At the top, the panorama of the Basque Country extends practically to the Atlantic coast.

Perched on its rocky promontory, the small village of Bidarray offers magnificent views of the mountains that surround it. Nestled at the foot of the Iparla ridges, Bidarray is on the GR 10 path and offers plenty of supplies.
