    Die Stiftskirche Notre-Dame ist mit ihren achtzig Metern Länge die größte Kirche der Stadt. Sie wurde im 12. Jahrhundert erbaut und ist eine der letzten großen Kirchen des romanischen Burgunds, inspiriert von der Abteikirche Cluny III und der Kathedrale von Autun. Als Sitz eines Kanonikerkapitels unter dem Ancien Régime ist es ein wichtiger Wallfahrtsort, zu dem Reisende kommen, um eine Statue zu verehren, die die majestätische Jungfrau darstellt (um 1200), bekannt als die Schwarze Madonna

    Die Kirche, erbaute im 12ten Jahrhundert, zählt zu den großen cluniaszensischen romanischen Kirchenbauten.
    Nach einem Brand im 13ten Jahrhundert wurde sie im gotischen Stil restauriert, später kamen Elemente aus der Renaissance hinzu (de.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Notre-Dame_(Beaune))
    Eine beeindruckende Kathedrale, die man sich beim Besuch von Beaune keinesfalls entgehen lassen sollte.
    Sehenswert sind die Bleiglasfenster (aus dem 19/20ten Jahrhundert). Im Chorraum werden Teppiche aus dem Jahr 1500 ausgestellt, die Szenen aus dem Leben Marias zeigen.
