    Die Pfarrkirche von Meldert (Lummen) ist dem Heiligen Willibrord geweiht.
    Diese Backsteinkirche mit spätgotischem Lang- und Seitenschiff (1625-1683) erhielt durch umfangreiche Umbauten und Instandsetzungen im Laufe der Jahrhunderte ein klassizistisches Aussehen.
    Der ursprünglich von der Kirche getrennte Eisensteinturm aus dem Jahr 1859 dürfte frühmittelalterlichen Ursprungs sein.
    Die ältesten Teile der St.-Willibrord-Kirche stehen seit 1951 unter Denkmalschutz.
    1973 wurde der Schutz auf das gesamte Kirchengebäude ausgedehnt.
    Durch die wiederholten Renovierungen wurden die Tragkonstruktion und die Balance des Turms stark in Mitleidenschaft gezogen.
    Kurz vor Beginn der Stabilisierungsarbeiten (2006) stürzte der Kirchturm ein.
