    Die ‘Acorn Street‘ hieß ursprünglich ‘Kitchen Street‘ und wurde in den 1820er Jahren angelegt. Später wurde die Straße nach den Eicheln benannt, die zu zahlreichen Eichen wurden und die Straße säumten. Vermutlich haben Eichhörnchen die Eicheln aus dem nahegelegenen ‘Boston Common‘ zum ‘Beacon Hill‘ getragen. Heute stehen in der berühmten Kopfsteinpflasterstraße noch viele der ursprünglichen Gebäude und vermitteln Besuchern das Gefühl, in die Vergangenheit zurückzureisen.
