The starting point of this truly beautiful fourth hike is Beaufort Castle.

Less obscure to German ears, the turning point of today's hike in the so-called Luxembourgish Switzerland is the Schiessentümpel. A small waterfall that, for my taste, receives rather excessive attention. Entire busloads of people cascade here, so I saved myself the fight for the sweet spot for a photo

On my bike tour three years ago, I also stopped in Lemgo and was very impressed by the many well-preserved old and, in some cases, richly decorated half-timbered houses (komoot.com/de-de/tour/769327514).

WHERE TO?
The selection of routes close to home that I haven't taken yet (and that are worth presenting here – not redundantly – is naturally getting smaller.
However, I had discovered a somewhat more distant tour in my planning fund, and I wanted to tackle it with my reactivated Germany ticket.

The main reason for the tour was the installation of the new highlight in Kirchweyhe: the artistically redesigned tunnel to the tracks at Kirchweyhe station.
