The Kumano runs mostly through the forest. Places marked with "view" have nothing to do with views. The view is only at the beginning and end of the tour, otherwise only trees.

The first stage of the Kumano Kodo is behind us.
It rained more or less all day... First a stretch of road, then forest paths where we got lost because we couldn't see the turn-off. At some point we headed off the planned route and back onto the road, taking a little detour to the Kumano Kodo information

Today it goes from Bad Tölz on many side roads and dirt roads through many forests and over hills. From time to time you can see the Alps in the distance.
The route is mostly flat with slight hills and leads past ponds and lakes to Weilheim.
The last tour is planned for tomorrow. Hopefully it will work

After rain during the night, the day starts with a rainbow over the mountains.
We follow the Achensee to the northern end and then follow the Seeache and the Walchen including Walchenklamm.
There are a few more climbs here, but no problem compared to the last few days.

We always drive along the Inn for the first 35 kilometers. This is a nice and easy route. Very flat and always with a view of the mountains.
At Jenbach we turn north and have the steepest stretch of the entire tour ahead of us. 500 vertical meters in 5 km. You can't drive that anymore, so it's pushed

After a night in the tent we continue west to Fortezza and then north up to the Brenner Pass.
The first part is quite pleasant to drive because mostly downhill, along the river and often in the shade.
Then comes the burner. Much uphill from here, but less than feared and also more downhill than expected

After much deliberation last night, we decided to walk the route today. Unfortunately, the alternatives didn't work out. So at 7:18 we got back on the bus to Koguchi and then up to the Kumano Kodo.
