At the parking lot near Robo's Waldblick in Blaustein, an oversized fox watched us as we warmed up briefly and set off towards the edge of the forest.

Yes, that was another hike just to my taste: varied, exciting, something for explorers, not a "forest highway," lots of beaver tracks, a herd of zebus, sea buckthorn hedges with berries, many different lakes reflecting the fluffy clouds, delicious blackberries, and red mirabelle plums.

Our small group of six, including our dog, walked from Lonsee to Urspring to the Lonetopf. Past the Roman fort, of which nothing can be seen now, through the underpass to the hidden Lonetopf (6 meters deep, 10 meters in diameter) in all its beautiful shades of blue, with a pair of ducks.
