Stunning day up on the Ridgeway, explored some great trails that branch off through the many horse training venues. A mix of gravel, singletrack and one endless grassy downhill.

Marlow to Coleshill
After a little getaway in Marlow with Mrs R, I rode home forgetting to put my gloves on before she drove off from the Crowne Plaza car park, but it turned out to be sunny and quite warm. Great views over the West Wycombe mausoleum and out to the north from the top of the Chilterns.

Cambridgeshire Classic
First long ride on the road bike, needed to get some time in riding in a group as it’s been a while. Got to the 45k feed station quickly, and by then I’d had enough of others lol. Rode most of the rest solo apart from a little group of 4 for the final run in. A claggy day, loads of dodgy potholes, but a decent course and some good miles in the bank.

Luton Greenways
Headed out to Hemel then took the Nickey Line, which was very muddy in parts. Linked up with the greenways into Luton then out into the country Lanes of the Chilterns. Found a very steep hill out the back of Chesham. I had only ever been into Luton once at night about 25 years ago to watch a friend play for Hull City v Luton Town at Kenilworth Road. Glimpsed the stadium today. It’s a strange town.

Aldbury
Waited out most of the morning rain before heading out on a ride that took me to Aldbury with a nice tailwind, therefore a bit of a slog back to home. Resisted temptation to stop for a coffee. Some very slushy potholed country lanes full of debris from the hedge trimmers - perfect 🇬🇧 gravel conditions 😁👍
