We set off early because it's supposed to be very warm. We cycle along the Meuse Cycle Route toward Liège. The temperature is pleasant and the sky is cloudy. Many old barges are moored, some occupied, some rotting away. Liège isn't pretty; it's gray and looks run-down. A stark contrast to Maastricht
