Bigger because I did this hike four years ago, but 5 km less because of heavy rain at the end. This time I managed 12 km.
Very quiet and lonely route - apart from a few roads - not a soul to be seen in the middle of the hike, a bit scary in strong winds, but otherwise beautiful.

It was a beautiful tour, even if some of the stretches seem monotonous, but you are in the middle of the country. You do have to cycle along the road for a stretch, but you stay on the cycle path. The app from fietsknoop.nl is highly recommended.
At one point you take a small ferry for cyclists and pedestrians

Completely spontaneous! It was a mix, uphill and downhill but the bike ride was great and beautiful!

I would spontaneously say it was a mixed bag: nice and "meh". There were paths where there was no other option, for example you had to walk on the road (the campsite only opens the gate directly to the ring on weekends - so we had to take a huge detour). But there are also wonderful hiking trails - see

The suggestion came from Bikeline Ruhrgebiet Tour 2.
It is actually moderate, if even difficult. Reasons: heat, more gradients than expected, the middle distance is very poorly marked. You can see on the map that I often got lost. Some diversion signs were missing (knocked over or removed), some bicycle

There's a road at the beginning and in the middle, but otherwise you can enjoy a relaxed hike without any major challenges. It does require a bit of stamina, though.
