Today we did our first bike tour of 2025 with my wife. Since we had already done an e-bike tour yesterday with a few meters of elevation in our legs, I also decided to go for an e-bike. Although my legs were the least of the challenges, rather than my dear bottom :-(

After a two-week "forced break" (dentist says hello), we went on a tour with the bike and my wife for the first time. We briefly considered whether to get an e-bike or a bio-bike and then decided on the bio-bike. The headwind was already quite strong in the area towards Kestenholz. It was a good decision

This time the e-bike tour should go in the direction of Oberaargau. So we entered Route 50 in Niederbuchsiten before following Route 71 at the 50/71 intersection with a few small adjustments.
Route 71 leads through Aarwangen, to Langenthal with the final destination Huttwil.
Before Huttwil, namely in Lotzwil

After 14 years in the Gäu, I thought it was time to ride my bike up the Born. There and back is relatively flat. Only the wind was quite strong on the outward journey, but I was looking forward to the return journey :-)

We used the later afternoon with a tour to the rye incl. dessert. Today, however, the navigation system didn't work the way I wanted it to and so we needed two attempts to get to the Rogge. Even after dessert, the routing didn't get any better. But not so tragic with the e-bike 😊

Today was a tour with the family on the program. Inspired by other Komoot tours, the planning was started. I think the new premium function Trail View is awesome. Especially when planning a family tour, it is useful to see how wide the paths are and what their nature is.
