Zum Eisessen nach Nordstemmen
Über Adensen, unter der Marienburg auf dem Leine-Heide-Radweg über Schulenburg und Jeinsen nach Schliekum. Dort über die Leine und auf dem Innersteradweg nach Hildesheim. Zurück über Emmerke und Heyersum nach Nordstemmen. Das Eis 🍨 war spitze 👍

Since we missed the big Walpurgis Night celebration in Wolfshagen, today we went on our first hike through the woods to Langelsheim for ice cream. Then we walked back a good distance along the Innerste River and then over the mountain back to the caravan. A lovely walk, although it was definitely too warm for hiking.

In beautiful summer weather 🌞 we went to the potato festival in Sarstedt. There was a lot going on there. Three potato pancakes for a mere 7 euros 💰. Not that cheap for a light afternoon snack. And bikes aren't always welcome in the city center either - see photo. Back via the Innerster cycle path

To end the holiday, we went to the Rhumequelle 💧 and then on the railway line cycle path towards the Harz. Then we followed the Oder for a bit. Very refreshing water at 29⁰ in the shade. On the way back we stopped at the local Chinese restaurant 🍜 - very tasty 😋

Of course, a visit to Duderstadt was a must. And so we set off. To avoid getting bored, I chose a different, but equally beautiful, route 🌞. As a reward, we had some excellent pistachio ice cream 🍦 in Duderstadt. After a little shopping at the discount store, we continued on to Gieboldehausen, where

Today we went to 'Heilbad Heiligenstadt'. This is the district town of the Eichsfeld district in Thuringia. In the best cycling weather 🌤 we had to overcome quite a few meters in altitude. A delicious ice cream 🍨 made up for it 😋 Given the weather forecast 🥵 this was the last major bike tour of this holiday...

To round off the camping season, we headed back to the Weserbergland campsite in Heinsen. On a sunny Saturday, we rode south along the Weser Cycle Route. After about 30km, my government's recently operated knee had reached the halfway point. So we quickly crossed the river and stopped at the Eulenkrug
