A wonderful day trip. First by bike through the national park, which is actually worth a whole day, and then the museum. The second largest collection of Van Gogh's works (beautiful paintings) and the sculpture park were our destination and here too we didn't see everything.

Beautiful lake. It's a pity you're not allowed to swim there. The dog couldn't be stopped from swimming because his stick accidentally fell into the water.

In the middle of nowhere - Geierlay - The suspension rope bridge in the middle of the Hunsrück, 360 m long, 80 cm wide, 100 m above ground, built in 2015. Free entry, if you come by car and don't want to hike in the area (which is recommended) you have to expect to pay a parking fee (~10€). Incredibly

A short hike around Lake Laach is actually a great experience. The paths are good and the lake is almost round (no wonder - a caldera [collapsed volcanic crater] filled with water). But nature is nature. Some paths at the campsite are closed because of flooding.

Zaandam, yes, a good 80,000 inhabitants and an open-air museum, Zaanse Schans, nearby. But why else would you go there? The city center is full of shops and boutiques. Yes! But in what surroundings! And then there's the "Tsar Peter Route"!
