Tag 2 - Finsterbrunnental nach Heltersberg
Habe im Naturfreundehaus Finsterbrunnental übernachtet. Morgens dann durch die tolle Karlstalschlucht zum Johanniskreuz, mittags weiter nach Heltersberg. Übernachtung im Privatquartier.

The end of the Westweg!

Very nice stage! After the Haldenhof, it is initially steeply uphill, then it is a beautiful hike on great trails along a contour line. The climb to the Blauen is steep but moderate. The Blauenhaus is currently closed for renovation. Unfortunately, everything is full of cars, including crowds and honking

One of the most beautiful stages of the Westweg for me!
Beautiful paths, great forests, magnificent mountains. The ascent and descent on the Belchen is particularly great. Not easy to walk, very steep, wide views in all directions!

What a great, and at times ugly, tour!
The climb to the Feldberg is long, but rewards you with beautiful views.
The Feldberg is of course a highlight of the Westweg, although it is full of tourists and walkers.
The descent to the south brings magnificent views and a few huts to linger in.

We hiked to Innervillgraten to do some shopping. Then, with the groceries, we took the Schmugglersteig trail back to the Alfenalm. It was very strenuous on the narrow path!
