Minnesota Chris

I love bike touring and hiking. I'm currently living in Minnesota in the U.S., but I've also lived in Starnberg and Bad Soden in Germany and I've spent time recently in Guanajuato, Mexico.

In the summer of 2024 I cycled solo across Germany for 35 days during the Euro 2024 football tournament. Check out my website for more details about that!

Dove Street / Deer Street Loop

Great ride. Beautiful day, finally, after about a week of oppressive heat and humidity throughout Minnesota. This ride was mostly on secondary, paved highways with good shoulders. Both Dove and Deer streets have limited car traffic and nice shoulders for cyclists. The remainder of the ride was on gravel which was also good except for the biting flies that tried to chase me down. I outran them, for the most part, so, "nice try flies!"

Once again, my day ends with a climb. After three weeks in Italy, each climb is becoming more difficult than the last.



I'll be cycling to Siena in a day or two, which will likely mark the final day of the ups and downs of Tuscany before I move on to flatter land.
