The Harz - what can I say: simply beautiful.
And not all forests are broken, maybe we should show the beautiful corners again.
The tour had pleasant paths, but also gravel (Hexenstieg) and asphalt. And mountains 😊. It was also a bit too long.
But I wanted to collect some caches and I did.

From the monastery campsite through Thale to the start of the Harzer Hexenstieg. From here it went up. In contrast to the way back we had no hikers. Once the site fence was on the wrong side, but a passage was quickly found.
We weren't the only ones up there, but that was clear. The solyanka at the zoo

Uphill to warm up and as a reward a fantastic view from the platform, awesome.
A quite strenuous tour in a beautiful area. A visit there is worthwhile and certainly not only on this side of the Weser.

Wide, well-developed paths lead you to your destination. So also suitable for prams.
Well suited as a walk with a picnic. If you want to escape the noise of the week at the weekend, you should look for another destination.
The water wheels are a feast for the eyes, highly recommended.

A nice round, asphalt but also forest paths. A paradise for cachers. Wonderfully made caches, in which a lot of work was certainly invested. Highly recommend this area.

A nice round of well-developed paths. Unfortunately, there are 2 short (approx. 200m) sections on a one-lane road with little traffic. But it can also be done with a dog.
There is a round on the way for cachers. The caches are easy to find, some in a wet condition.

A very nice leisurely hike, on easy-to-walk paths. Nothing for prams.
Mushroom and cache hunters have their fun. There is also an adventure lab on the way to the chapel. Break at the refuge.
There is also an opportunity to stop below the chapel, but we didn't use it.
