The arboretum is an oasis for forest conversion in the era of climate change. Here you feel like in Canada or around the corner you are in Japan so many beautiful exotic trees can only be found here and due to the decades of breeding not such large specimen. Next to it the dead spruce forest is so sad

In beautiful autumn weather from the true Bergische capital over a mostly well-developed gravel path to the Herbringhauser dam with many waterfowl and back on the other side. We were often close to the busy main road. But the way is definitely recommended.
