After a very windy night we leave the campsite and are quickly in Fynshav at the harbor. Here we fill all the water bottles and walk along the coast into the forest. At Skovmose we go to the Alsstien. The Alsstien crosses the island of Als and begins at the dam to Kegnaes. It leads partly along the coast, between fields and through forests. For us, the stretches of coast are hardly manageable. So we often take the bike route. One section could no longer be avoided

The tour starts with some shopping and then out of town. The sun is shining, the path is easy to go and we are making rapid progress. We walk past countless fields along Horup Hav until shortly before Skovby. Here the path leads us away from the coast. The gendarme path ends inconspicuously shortly after

A short tour is scheduled for the hobbling four-legged friend. First we leave Sonderborg along the bank and cross the Sonderskov. From the free campground it goes along above a cliff. The sky is gray, but without rain. After a short break, the path surprisingly leads us to the beach. There is no way for 2km. We start at the campsite near Grasten. Due to heavy rain and wind, it doesn't start until noon. We cross the lift bridge and take the stairs for cyclists on the other side of the street instead of the spiral staircase. The signs initially lead us along the shore. This is where the sun comes out. Later

We start in Krusau on a parking lot directly on the Gendarmenpfad. It is 2 km to the Flensburg Fjord. Now it is always following the very good signs, alternating along the shore or a little inland through small towns. The destination is the campsite near Grasten. P.S. An ice cream at Annis Kiosk was a must.

Continue on the Gendarmenstien always with a view of the German coast. It gets hilly again. Past many overnight stays and resting benches. Shortly before the border crossing we leave the previous hiking trail and arrive in Wassersleben.

After a cold night, the trail meanders between the suburbs of Gråsten to the Baltic Sea and the Gendarmenstien. In the best sunshine we follow the way to the accommodation.

It goes north around the Hostrup lake. Passing a red deer farm, we cross a military area that is currently used as a cow pasture. They let us pass though. Now follow a few kilometers of road before it goes back to a military terrain. The bike and hiking trail is more of a cross-country ski route and

The rainiest day leads to the northeast. Although it is a good stretch of road to go, but also a beautiful forest road at the Store Sögard lake over to the Hostrup lake.
