Kalydon offers a 7 km hiking tour around the peninsula. Since I had to be back for breakfast I did not do the whole three hours... just a morning walk to get to the south-eastern side, and watch the sun rise.
Started on Elouda beachfront walking on the road winding through the water... this was a great

Starting at Candia Park village on the main road to Agios Nikolaos. I took the first street on the right side, which is leading up into the hills. It's a paved road, with a few trucks on monday morning passing to the quarry.
The real trail, signed white/blue, starts on your right when the paved road

The best place to park is at the Weiße Mühle. The path leads through the fields to many panoramic views.
Good for taking a deep breath ☺️.
Up on the plateau there is a long view of Würzburg and the fortress.
You can enjoy this walk especially in the mornings and evenings, and in the autumn you can pick
