Today we took a leisurely walk through the Bode Valley near Sorge in great weather. The route goes along the warm Bode without much of an incline until just before Braunlage and then curves back. Winter showed its best side with 10° and bright sunshine.

Today we went up to Lauenburg. Up through the Wurmbach valley past the cascades. We went back home via Stecklenburg. The fog banks were clearly visible from above.

The high path along the warm Bode is fantastically beautiful. A lot has happened on the Wurmberg since our last visit, but almost everything is closed at this time of year. We went down a lot of stairs. Then we stopped at the toboggan house. We sat outside in the sun on the first day of Advent 🌞. Wonderful. Beautiful tour

Today we went from Zorge along the Grenzweg over the pointed Winkel-Zweiländereiche-Stiefmutterhütte-Pregnant Jungfer-Sülzhaynblick-Wendeleiche-Roter Schuss-Schnappsbuche and back over Ellrich city forest past the Wenzelsstein and over Aueblick. Nice tour with hiking needles and many resting places.

As always, a beautiful hike, despite the fog and the lack of a beautiful sunrise!
But on the way back, we spotted two lynx in the wild; that alone made the climb and descent worthwhile!
