This section is a hiking trail with large steps. Some gravel sections have steep climbs, and at this time of year, it's very wet. At the end, the last 4 kilometers before Bolzena are very busy...!!!

A lovely, varied tour, also suitable for families with children (though they do require a bit of stamina). You can stop for a bite to eat in Falkenstein if you wish. Falkenstein Castle is open during certain seasons. Admission is €2.50 for adults.

The tour mostly follows quiet roads. We encountered or overtook about 10 cars on the outward and return journey. Sadly, the return journey through the small towns is worth seeing.
