Today was queen stage day of the tour. From Landeck it went to Nauders (including a small detour to Switzerland).
The moderate increase at the beginning - except for the highlight 'Fließer Platte' - was the right warm-up for the flat section through the Inn Valley. The sidekick on a side trail was paid

The third section of the Via Claudia Augusta leads us from Ehrwald first on the partly steep Römertrail parallel to the Fernpass road into the Briglbachtal and from there to the Inn valley. From there we follow the Inn on easily navigable forest roads to today's destination Landeck.

The 'prologue' to the crossing of the Alps started in the Fugger city of Augsburg under overcast skies and occasional, but only light, rainfall. Today's destination - after almost 5 hours (including a stopover in Landsberg am Lech (worthwhile!) - was Schongau.
The route followed the course of the Lech

Final!!! The last section leads from Lagundo past Merano to Bolzano. Without a lot of words (the photos speak for themselves) ... if I weren't at home in God's own Country (the only true Rhineland), South Tyrol would be my dream exile 😎.
Made the alpine cross 👍and another week of vacation in the Sun
