You can shorten the lap by not driving to the stones, but then you miss the tourist highlight.
I modified the ending afterwards to avoid the big streets, I hope it works that way

nice round,
As few large streets as possible and "main bike paths/main walkways", so ideally suited for Sundays (I also drove the tour on a Sunday).
Just a word of warning: there are a couple of gravel roads/not-so-new pavement but it's still entirely doable by road bike in dry weather
