Spending the last five days just indoors isn't my thing. And since the weather isn't improving and more snow is expected, I just went for it. The only unpleasant thing was the freezing wind, but otherwise the hike went quite well.

How quickly word spreads about such a natural spectacle! Curious about what I'd heard, I wanted to see for myself what nature had created. There was already a traffic jam before we even reached the Elbe bridge. Everyone wanted to see it for themselves. Luckily, I was there by bike. It was unbelievable

Here in the Freiburg/Ihringen area, all the way down to the Markgräflerland region, we've had temperatures above freezing (14 degrees Celsius) for days.
It's pleasant. Hopefully, you up north will get it soon too, then enjoy it.

Unfortunately, the conditions were quite poor. The thaw had made the paths very difficult to walk on. Perfect terrain for water skiing. But oh well, better days will come again.
