Tough ascents through rocky and thorny terrain, but you're rewarded some incredible views. About a km after Castagnola, the waymarked route and the Alltrails route diverge - the waymarked route heads along a path that isn't marked as such on any map, and is quite tough but short, probably not passable

Lovely walk until Pietralavezzara. The trail from there joins up with the E01, but is completely unmaintained and overgrown, definitely impassable in bad weather and full of fallen trees and thorns. After that, we entered Isoverde - a cute town that isn't listed in the detailed stages, with a small restaurant
