We walked the route the other way around. The route is signposted with the number 5, sometimes with red or green paint. Half of the route was on donkey paths. On the way from Leka to Kastania we came to a dead end. The path is probably overgrown there. That cost us 3/4 hour until we landed back on the

A stream has to be crossed 10 times on the way up, each time by means of a ford. The beautiful clean water is up to your ankles. Our hiking sandals have proven themselves very well. So nan was looking forward to every new ford. The path is beautiful and the Platia in Vourliotes is a worthwhile destination.

Not the best route. The "shortcut" over a gravel path with lots of switchbacks is not recommended. It is better to take the side path. The rest of the route was very beautiful.
