The final stage of our tour on the European cycle path R1 took us to Brandenburg and the landscape changed accordingly. Lots of gravel, but also great paved bike paths through fields and forests.
Luckily we didn't find out until we were already waiting for our train that there was a lioness running away

And we continued on the R1 European cycle path, out of the Dessau-Wörlitz garden kingdom with more and more gravel and less road. Quickly take a few pictures of Oranienbaum Palace and then Ferropolis, the city of iron, for the first highlight of the day.
