A guided tour by Darmstadt city marketing to the secrets of the Herrgottsberg.
Spoiler alert: the robbers in the Bessunger Forest were a gang of young people, the caves either collapsed or were quarries and the alleged secret passages to Darmstadt Castle were water pipes. But the tour was very interesting

Beautiful hike through the forest over the beginning of the Sieben-Hügel-Steig to the stop at Bölle. Is pleasant in the mornings despite the current heat. For the way back we took the tram (with a stopover at the castle to be able to visit the Coccola🍧).

Used the beautiful weather today to see the peony blossom in the Lorsch church garden. The tree peonies will soon be done, the perennials need another week. The stop at the Brauhaus Drayß and in the ice cream parlor Natale in Jugenheim are mandatory 😋

Another beautiful October day invited to a bike ride. We have never been to the Zeppelin Museum in Zeppelinheim. A very nice little museum with models and relics from the Zeppelin era. Admission is free, a donation is requested. Although the tour is dead straight for long stretches, we enjoyed it. The

In bright sunshine, we combined our visit to the Ochsenschläger farm shop with a short hike to the ruins of Stein Castle. The castle had been forgotten for a long time and was rediscovered by chance during test drilling for oil.
