We took the train from Mülheim to Wesel. Unfortunately there was a lot of headwind on the dyke around Wesel. Good cycle paths by German standards

When the weather was a bit cloudy ☁️ and wintry cold 🥶 we were out and about with a nice group 🚶♀️🚶🏼🚶🏼♂️🐕. From Schermbeck we went through the Lichtenhagen and Dusk Forest nature reserves. The first and last part of the trail was on asphalt roads. The middle section through the forest 🌳 past

Today we started at the gate 9 hiking car park and looked at the site of the old Venlo air base in the border area with the Netherlands 🇳🇱. Again and again you can find ruins and remnants of former halls and buildings in the Venloer Heide. Further on the tour you could watch sheep 🐑 with their lambs

Today I was out with a nice group in the Kirchheller Heide. It went through the natural forest 🌳 along the Rotbach. You had to climb over some fallen trees or balance across the creek. The small path along the Heidesee was great. But the most beautiful thing was the view of the Pfingstsee with the trees standing in the water.

Good German cycle paths are mediocre Dutch cycle paths. It's amazing how noticeable the difference is
